Victoria San Martin, Simon Fraser University, winner of the Spring 2023 BC Study Abroad: Stories from Abroad Scholarship

Study Abroad Destination: Scotland

Victoria is an English and Publishing student at Simon Fraser University. She is studying abroad at the University of Glasgow in Scotland during the Fall 2023 semester. She is both excited and nervous to start this next chapter of her life, but she is looking forward to documenting her experiences to share her reflections and learnings. She is also looking forward to gaining perspective as a Canadian international student, making new friends, testing her comprehension of the Glaswegian accent, living out her dark academia dreams (without the murder), enjoying the scenery, and spending her free time looking for cool roller skate spots.
