Study Abroad Destination: France
Gabriela is a fourth-year Political Science student at the University of Victoria, and she is currently living abroad in France while she pursues a certificate in International Affairs and Strategy at Sciences Po.
Once she completed her French Language and Culture requirements back home, she felt the need to experience France, its language, and culture in person. Therefore, she took the initiative to apply to the University of Sciences Po, one of the most prestigious political science universities in Europe. A semester abroad at Sciences Po was the perfect opportunity to improve her french while studying at a university ranked in the top five worldwide for political science. This would also allow her to study alongside other brilliant international students and further expand her cultural horizons.
Gabriela's desire to immerse herself in other people's cultures and lifestyles is reflected in her volunteer work as a tutor for immigrant children, as well as her time being a conversation partner for international or recently immigrated university students back in Victoria, who wish to improve their English.
