Let the world be your classroom. Combine studies and experience with the excitement of travel! This May, Langara College’s School of Management is organizing a field school to Korea and Thailand where students will have the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the business and historical culture of both countries.

Instructors Kenneth Wong and Avram Agov will lead students through a 19-day itinerary to South Korea (Seoul) and Thailand (Bangkok), packed full of experiential learning through visits to local businesses, as well as historical and cultural sites.

Ever wonder what it would be like to study abroad in China and learn the Chinese language at the undergraduate or graduate level?

The Chinese Government is offering scholarships for eligible British Columbia students to study abroad!

The purpose of the Scholarship Program is to strengthen mutual understanding and friendship between the Chinese people and people around the world. It supports the development of cooperation and exchange in the fields of education, science, culture, economy and trade between China and other countries.

Okay, so I don’t know how many of you guys packed your own lunches growing up, but my mother made sure I was self-sufficient. We would go to the grocery store every week and my older sister and I were allowed to each pick a few items to include in our lunches for the school week to come.

It’s another quiet evening in the house that has become my home over the months of my exchange in Inverness, Scotland. My host mother is probably downstairs obsessively cleaning something or spoiling her ‘wee dog’ Millie, while my host father watches the documentary channel while taking trips to the kitchen for chocolate. Even though I am so far away from my family, studying abroad has taught me that ‘home’ is more than the house you are living in.

The Jinhua Municipal Government of Zhejiang Province, China, plans to preserve the original cultural atmosphere of Jinhua historical villages, while developing them for travel and ecotourism. To do so, they are looking for BC students, teachers and/or recent graduates to help promote homestay tourism in Jinhua's historical villages.
