Program Highlights and Travel Dates
New York Fashion field school will be taught in FASN 3900, a 3 credit, special topics course. Pre-departure course hours will be a total of 12 hours over three days and will take place in the Summer 2023 semester. In this field school, New York City will be our classroom. It provides opportunities for you to engage with the fashion industry on an international level. There have been a number of changes in the fashion industry resulting from the global pandemic and this will be a chance for you to explore and experience these industry shifts and changes firsthand on an international level.

  • Meet and hear from designers and industry members through studio visits
  • Visit museums, galleries, and tour fashion exhibits
  • Participate in hands on making workshops

Classes Offered and Pre-requisites
FASN 3900 Design Field School (3 credits)
Pre-departure classes are scheduled for May 17, 18 and 19, and are co-taught by Heather Clark and Michael Pope. Exact times for these classes will be shared closer to the date.
Pre-requisites
48 credits of 1100 level or higher courses, or with permission from field school instructors.
Note that no previous Design experience is needed to enroll in FASN 3900.

STEP 2: Fill out and submit your completed application online.
STEP 3: Pay your $500 deposit towards your program fees for the field school by December 16, 2022.
