I really liked this field study trip to Japan, I was able to meet new people around my age group from both Langara and Ryukoku and enjoy the same common interest and learn new things altogether. If I went with friends and family, I wouldn't have been able to see the Japanese Culture in Japan and if I went with a tour, we would have been shopping more than learning and talking to actual Japanese University students. I strongly recommend others who have a passion interest in Japanese history and Culture; you do receive credits, meet new people from Langara and meet Japanese University students and it is a once in a lifetime opportunity.

This is your once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to travel and study in Japan! Led by two native Japanese instructors, Nariko Takayanagi and Akemi Takei, you will visit major Japanese cities (Tokyo, Kamakura, Kyoto and Mito) and experience traditional and contemporary Japanese history, culture and society.
